House of Su
West Dist., Taichung City, Taiwan | Interior Designer | Spring 2019
This interior design project was my first independent project after graduation. Throughout the process, I learned a great deal of engineering knowledge and applied it to my design. Understanding materials and design aspects gave me a clearer idea of how to interface different elements. From the initial configuration of the basic requirements to the later stages of design, I aimed to use concrete textures to express a rough style.
The wooden floors highlight the original flavour and feel of the old building. I used greys and browns to balance the cool and warm tones. Given the owner's needs, the design focused on functionality. Therefore, I simplified the concept by reducing unnecessary elements, ensuring the design was both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
